Makuyuni Wildlife Park

Makuyuni Wildlife Park is a newly gazetted conservation haven, established in 2023 under the stewardship of the Tanzania Wildlife Management Authority (TAWA). Covering 49 square kilometers, the park is small in size but immense in ecological importance. It sits squarely within the Tarangire–Manyara ecosystem, serving as a critical wildlife corridor that allows for seasonal animal migrations, genetic exchange, and rich biodiversity.

Originally agricultural land, the area has been restored into a thriving mosaic of acacia woodland, savannah grasslands, riverine thickets, and dramatic rock outcrops each nurturing unique flora and fauna.
