itinerary Overview

Depart from Arusha with picnic lunches for a full-day tour of the Ngorongoro Crater Conservation Area, often referred to as "Africa’s Garden of Eden" and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend 600 meters to the crater floor, where you will experience the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, teeming with abundant wildlife. Ngorongoro offers a unique opportunity to spot the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the rare black rhino—if luck is on your side. Wildlife thrives here year-round, including cheetahs, baboons, hippos, pelicans, flamingos, crowned cranes, and more, creating a truly unforgettable experience. After an incredible day exploring this natural wonder, ascend the crater walls in the late afternoon and return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at your hotel.
